Create Effective Online Donation Funnels

Nonprofit organizations can maximize their fundraising efforts online by creating a funnel—a collection of pages that persuades visitors to donate money. Through communication of just how needed the work of the nonprofit is, and by demonstrating where the funds will go, visitors will feel more comfortable opening their pocketbooks. One way of building a funnel is to persuade the visitor to make a one-time donation. After they make that donation, a second page could be shown requesting that they make a monthly donation or convert their donation to a monthly one, all while explaining how it will go above and beyond to help the organization’s mission.
